Helping individuals and organizations to build skills for cooperating across differences and for resolving conflicts in a way that honors the humanity of everyone involved. Our approach is based on the principles of Nonviolent Communication (developed by the late Marshall Rosenberg) integrated with understanding of systemic domination and deepened through de-colonial perspective.
Training and facilitation for private and public sector organizations, community groups, development and peace building organizations (NGOs), government agencies, funding organizations, schools & other educational settings and more. Also provide mediation & coaching for individuals and couples.
Organizational trainings focus on the human elements of organizations — enhancing relationships among staff, between staff & management, between the organization & its clients and other constituents. At the simplest level, we focus on teaching tangible communication skills so that people within the organization are able to avoid the types of communication & thinking that leads toward alienation and mistrust (e.g. blame, criticism, demands) and to learn a communication process that is most likely to connect people and inspire trust & a willingness to contribute.
Along with communication skills, applications are in mediation, healing & transformative justice, equity diversity & power relations, connecting across differences , reconciliation and leadership and life coaching.
In house or online trainings and facilitation for organizations (NGOs, schools, socially conscious business, etc.,) social justice activists and community groups. Team retreats and visioning, values, strategic planning sessions; mentoring programs for leaders in their fields and more. Coaching and mediation, to help people develop their capacities for creative cooperation.
